Simpleplanes runway map4/28/2024 In April 1997, TAP moved the stopover to Bangkok in hopes of attracting more passengers. Additionally, TAP and Air Macau, in which the former held a stake, were unable to coordinate their schedules, making connections between the Lisbon flight and Air Macau's network inconvenient. The crew had to spend long layovers in Macau because the service only operated twice a week. TAP encountered difficulties in running the flights. It cooperated with Sabena on the route the flight stopped in Brussels, and TAP allocated a certain number of seats to the airline on the segment between Brussels and Macau. In April 1996, TAP Air Portugal started service to Lisbon using Airbus A340s. The official inauguration ceremony took place on 8 December 1995, and Portuguese President Mário Soares presided over it. The first departure was an Air Macau flight to Beijing, and the first arrival was a Malaysia Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur. Commercial air service began on 9 November 1995. The Macau airport was constructed on reclaimed land adjacent to the islands of Taipa and Coloane. In 2017 the number of passengers had increased to 7,165,803, which is more than the 6 million passengers per year the terminal was originally designed for. During 2006, the airport handled 5 million passengers and 220,000 tonnes of cargo. Since then the airport has been a common transfer point for people traveling between the Mainland and Taiwan, as well as a passenger hub for destinations in mainland China and Southeast Asia. Macau International Airport (IATA: MFM, ICAO: VMMC) Portuguese: Aeroporto Internacional de Macau) is an international airport in the special administrative region of Macau, situated at the eastern end of Taipa island and neighbouring waters which opened for commercial operations on 9 November 1995, during Portuguese administration of the region. ![]() ![]() Uncontrolled Simpleplanes Class G Communications.Note: This is proposed to be posted at December 20, which is my birthday, but because of some other things, so I delayed the posting date. Radio calls, how to Communicate as a Pilot in command. (well unless you really really want me to. Sorry but Magnetic and True Compass directions and errors are not important in anyway to the game. Let me know in the comments if you'd like an Airport Traffic Patterns "Thing" like this one.Ī great aiport information page by it helps you :) The spawn point is pointing to 189, but we need to round it up so Yeager has: Simpleplanes Example Avalanche Airport Spawn point is heading 090 (East):Īnd if you come from the other direction, you would be Heading 270 (West) landing on Runway 27. I.E.: Runways 10L&R 28L&R and runways 01L&R - It's also Runways 19L&R but it's not showing in image When you have 2 parallel Runways going in the same direction, they will be marked according to their position on final approach with: L (Left) R (Right) That's why airports have 2 direction and the wind determines in which direction (01 or 19) you takeoff and land. You Always takeoff and land into the wind!!! (well when there's wind.) So if you took off from Runway 01 and circle around, you need to come back to approach landing heading 010 back to Runway 01. ![]() Takeoffs and Landings use the same direction! In aviation the Compass Heading numbers are counted from 001 degrees to 360 degrees.įor Airport numbers it's without counting the singles digits, Rounding up or down (+/- 5) to the closest round number.Īnd if you takeoff from the other direction to runway 01 heading 190 = Runway 19 The difference is that the numbers aren't counted from 000-359 degrees (like game compass). They are marked by the Compass heading of that specific Runway. (there are also Airport diagrams for every airport, and pilots are required to have it with them or at least the airport diagram you are takingoff and landing at.) They are BIG so Pilots can see them, to know what runway they are looking at when flying or landing, and to follow instructions. ![]() These seemingly random numbers are actually informative and important.
